Alan Staubitz put a hex on the Winnipeg Buffaloes in a sparkling 4-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 5-hit gem.

"I felt good physically," he said after the game. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."

The Buffaloes were anything but comfortable against the 32-year-old Mexico City Aztecas hurler, who fanned 10 and gave up 1 walks.

"Staubitz used his changeup very well, very effectively," said opposing manager Jonathan Gandara. "He threw it in hitter's counts."

In 19 starts this season, Staubitz has picked up 11 wins while suffering 5 losses. He has pitched 153.1 innings, allowed 114 hits, struck out 177 and posted a 2.58 ERA.
