The Las Vegas Aces took Dallas pitcher Tony Vadi's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark. The final score had Las Vegas getting past the Texans, 8-6. Vadi went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Las Vegas reliever Luke Dickerson picked up the win to move to 1-1. Josh O'Toole suffered the loss. Las Vegas has now won 3 in a row.
Las Vegas used the clutch hitting of Tae-gyoon Moon to snag the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aces ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"We took home the win," said Moon. "What's not to like?"
