The Miami Sun Sox managed to get by the Philadelphia Keystones, 4-3, at Keystones Stadium. Miami pitcher Bill Dingwell set himself apart with his performance. Miami, at 35-38, sits in 5th place in the South Division.
Miami needed the clutch hitting of Howie Park to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sun Sox on top, 4-3. For the game, Park had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
After the game, Miami manager Barry Lolicht applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
