Late Rally by Warriors Seals 8th Straight Win
|
The Washington Warriors downed the Toronto Titans, 3-0, at Warriors Park. Starring for Washington was pitcher Charlie Lipsey. Washington goes to 43-25. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
Washington got a clutch hit from Shane Wilder. The designated hitter launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
Washington manager Angel Sanchez called it "a darn good win."
