Canadians Roll Over Aztecas, 9-2

The Sherbrooke Canadians earned a win at Canadians Park, knocking off the Mexico City Aztecas, 9-2. On the bump for Sherbrooke was right-hander Chris Shipman. He had a starring role in the triumph. Shipman picked up the win for Sherbrooke, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. The 5th-place Canadians go to 35-45.
In the bottom of the first, 31-year old right fielder Matt Hayes hit a 3-run home run. The 19th home run of the season for the Sherbrooke center fielder put the Canadians on top, 3-0.
"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Mexico City skipper Kyle Boss.
