Sierra drives in 5 runs, Ignites Winnipeg Offense
|
Behind the bravura of left fielder Brian Sierra, the Winnipeg Buffaloes topped the Quebec City Admirals by the score of 7-5. Sierra went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Buffaloes. Daniel Sarretti, the winner, goes to 7-7. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts over 6 innings. With this game in the books, Winnipeg is 35-39, Quebec City 29-45.
With Winnipeg leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Sierra hit a changeup from A.J. Kolosky for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Buffaloes ahead, 6-0.
