Ottawa Capitals right-hander Andy Lynch pitched a good game against the Hamilton Tigers at Capitals Stadium, leading his team to victory, 5-3. Lynch got the win, improving to 5-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Ottawa is now 34-42, Hamilton 41-35.

Nick Lynch had a big run-scoring triple for the Capitals in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Ottawa leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Victor Zapata and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Capitals ahead, 4-2.

"Andy gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Ottawa manager Ricky Wilson.
