3-2 Win Gets Washington to 30-17
|
The Washington Warriors earned a close win over the Dallas Texans, thanks in part to Hee-ho Kim. The Washington right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the PBC in strikeouts with 92, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Ashton Williams closed the game out for Washington, earning his 16th save. The second-place Warriors have won 4 in a row.
Aaron Jones drew 2 walks for Washington. The 25-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ronnie Farrow. It was his 13th walk of the season.
After the game, Jones told the Washington Times, "Like I've always said, the challenge is what makes this game worth playing."
