The Vacaville Steelheads topped the Hamilton Tigers, 6-2, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Hamilton Park. The standout performance belonged to Vacaville pitcher and Detroit, Michigan, native Josh Schisler. Schisler, now 4-8, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Vacaville is now 38-27, 2½ games up in the West Division.

Vacaville used a well-timed hit by Steve Spoon to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Steelheads ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Schisler.
