Wadden Hits 2 home runs in Fleetwings Win
The Allentown Fleetwings topped the Vacaville Steelheads, 7-4, with left fielder Bill Wadden playing a big role. Wadden belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Fleetwings in the win. Ricardo Ortiz Jr. was the winning pitcher. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Allentown used a clutch at-bat from Ken Borchers to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Fleetwings ahead, 6-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
