The 3-RBI night of designated hitter Cameron Buss, who finished 5th in the SPBC in home runs with 18 in 2006, helped the Winnipeg Buffaloes triumph, 3-2, over the Hamilton Tigers. Winnipeg reliever Matt Hemmelgarn picked up the win, while Joe Bell took the loss for Hamilton. The second-place Tigers dropped to 35-23.

Buss had a timely hit for Winnipeg in the bottom of the eighth. With Winnipeg trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Winnipeg.

"If it's down the middle," said Buss, "you might as well hit it."
