Newark Eagles starter Mike Pedersen was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Quebec City Admirals, 4-1. Quebec City has now lost 5 in a row.

Joe Santagata delivered a big hit for Newark. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eagles ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Pedersen. "The only team that can beat us is us."
