Starting pitcher Kelly Noordanus gave the Sherbrooke Canadians a rock-solid effort. The Amersfoort, The Netherlands native helped his team defeat the Las Vegas Rollers, 1-0, at Canadians Park. Noordanus got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Picking up his 7th save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Groves.

In the bottom of the fifth, Dan Nowlin delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Sherbrooke catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Canadians in front, 1-0.

"Both teams played hard," said Sherbrooke manager Rodrigo Nino.

With the win, Sherbrooke has a record of 22-34. Las Vegas falls to 27-29.
