The Vancouver Bruins picked up a win at Chargers Field, knocking off the Detroit Chargers, 5-4, in 11 innings. Starting pitcher Gouki Miyagi played a key role in the conquest. The win went to Josh Lurte in relief, making him now 3-6. Justin Stanley took the loss for Detroit. The save was credited to David Martinez, his 1st.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ryan Overberg? The 26-year old first baseman Overberg stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Vancouver up, 5-4. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Overberg said.

The victory gives Vancouver a record of 27-27.
