Hendrickson Excels, But Drillers Win
The Edmonton Drillers overcame a pretty good performance by Sherbrooke third baseman Terry Hendrickson, beating the Canadians, 8-4, at Drillers Field. Hendrickson belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Chris Patterson earned the win for Edmonton. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 7-3. The Drillers now have a record of 30-22 with the win over Sherbrooke.

Dan Wood had a big 3-run home run for the Drillers in the bottom of the first inning. With Edmonton leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Kelly Noordanus and swatted a home run to right. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drillers ahead, 6-0.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Wood.
