Behind the bravura of first baseman Brad Duchow, the Ottawa Capitals topped the Mexico City Aztecas by the score of 6-4. Duchow went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Capitals. Ottawa pitcher Steve Post earned the win, hiking his record to 5-6. Alan Staubitz suffered the loss. The Capitals go to 20-31 with the win.

In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, Duchow came to the plate. He hit a sacrifice fly off Alan Staubitz to put the Capitals in the lead, 1-0.
