The Allentown Fleetwings went home winners at Fleetwings Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Luis Perez. Perez stifled the Newark Eagles, enabling Allentown to grab the 6-1 win. The East Division-leading Fleetwings are 28-18.

The Fleetwings got a big at-bat from designated hitter Chris Rossin. For the game, Rossin went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Allentown a 1-0 lead.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Perez. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
