Qualls Helps Rollers Win, 6-3, with Pair of Homers
The Las Vegas Rollers topped the Calgary Caracals, 6-3, at Vegas Stadium. Las Vegas catcher Jay Qualls was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Sean Dunsmore. His record now stands at 6-5. The right-hander went 8.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits for the Rollers. Ryan Carden earned the save for Las Vegas, his 8th.

In the top of the seventh, Andy Stamer stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Caracals were trailing 6-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Sean Dunsmore made a terrific pitch and Stamer lined out. Gone was the dream of a Calgary comeback.

At 17-28, the Rollers find themselves in last place in the West Division.
