The Hamilton Tigers took Green Bay pitcher Pedro Hernandez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Braves Ballpark. The final score had Hamilton getting past the Braves, 6-4. Hernandez went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 9. Oliver McPeak, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Jay Briddell earned the save for Hamilton, his 5th.
Orlando Huichapa delivered a big hit for Hamilton. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tigers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Huichapa.
Hamilton is now 26-17, while Green Bay is 19-24.
