In a low-scoring clash between Las Vegas and Quebec City, pitcher Steve Fisher was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Rollers win. Fisher yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-3. The win puts Las Vegas at 15-25.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Cris Jauregui was at the plate when Las Vegas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Rollers to go in front, 3-2.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Fisher told reporters after the game.
