The Mexico City Aztecas picked up a win at Eagles Park, knocking off the Newark Eagles, 8-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Mexico City was left-hander Alan Staubitz. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Staubitz picked up the win for Mexico City, going 9 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2.

Nick Hawthorne delivered a big hit for Mexico City. The center fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Aztecas ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
