Bruins Suffer 3-2 Home Loss
The Vancouver Bruins could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Gouki Miyagi into a win. Instead, the Winnipeg Buffaloes prevailed, 3-2. Miyagi threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Michael Maya, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 0. His record now stands at 2-2. Santos Fernandez earned the save for Winnipeg, his 1st of the year.

David Moats delivered a big hit for Winnipeg. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Buffaloes ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
