Sherbrooke got a terrific performance from pitcher Ramon Molina, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hamilton Tigers. Hamilton won the Hamilton Park contest, 1-0. Molina threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Hamilton is in second place in the Central Division with a record of 21-14.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from left fielder Rob Corkle. For the game, Corkle went 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Hamilton manager Jose Gonzalez.
