The home team gave the crowd at Chargers Field something to cheer about.

Detroit Chargers starter Danny Thomas found his groove in his team's 7-4 win over the Saskatoon Moose. Thomas, who is tied for 3rd in the SPBC with a 11.8 K/9 rate, went the distance for Detroit. He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits.

Jaquan Northcross had a big 3-run home run for the Chargers in the bottom of the third inning. With Detroit leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Arnaud Boyle and swatted a home run to left. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chargers ahead, 5-0.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Thomas.

At 14-14, the Chargers find themselves in 4th place in the Central Division.
