Late Rally by Tigers Locks Up 5-3 Win
The Winnipeg Buffaloes could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dan Frost into a win. Instead, the Hamilton Tigers prevailed, 5-3. Frost threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Hamilton reliever Steve Hayes picked up the win, while Jason Dowd took the loss for Winnipeg. Jay Briddell nailed down the save.

Hamilton took a 4-3 lead on Rob Corkle's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Corkle hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Winnipeg pitcher Jason Dowd visibly frustrated.

Corkle attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

The Tigers now have a record of 17-9.
