Due in large part to designated hitter Jon Jones, the Edmonton Drillers sunk the Green Bay Braves, 6-4. Jones went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Jaden Collins closed it out for Edmonton, earning his 2nd save. Edmonton has won 4 straight games.
It could have been a different outcome for Edmonton, had it not been for Dan Wood, the 25-year old catcher . Wood contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Edmonton up, 3-1.
"Winning is always a team effort," Wood said after the game.
