Caracals Rally Late to Nip Capitals
Led by Josh Russell, the Calgary Caracals downed the Ottawa Capitals, 7-6. Russell hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Caracals. Calgary reliever Mario Estrada was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Jamie Stewart took the loss. Calgary raised its record to 11-9 with the win.

Russell had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 curveball from Jamie Stewart, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Caracals a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Russell.

"If we keep winning the close games," Russell said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
