Ottawa Beats Calgary in 11-Inning Thriller
The Ottawa Capitals clipped the Calgary Caracals, 5-3, in 11 innings at Capitals Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Ottawa pitcher and Escondido, California, native Steve Post. The win was credited to 13-year veteran Jamie Stewart in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Mario Estrada took the loss. The Capitals go to 7-11 with the win.

Ottawa got a clutch hit from Rafael Tobar. The first baseman launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Post said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
