McKinnon Pounds 2 Homers in 8-3 Chargers Win
The Detroit Chargers grabbed a win, 8-3, over the Winnipeg Buffaloes at Chargers Field. Detroit left fielder Brad McKinnon hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Picking up the win was Carlton Michael. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. The Buffaloes drop to 6-9, as their fitful start to the 2012 campaign continues.

Brett Reiling had a big bases-clearing double for the Chargers in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Detroit leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Chris Pierce and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chargers ahead, 7-1.

"Things kind of got away from us," said Winnipeg skipper Jonathan Gandara.
