Capitals Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Newark Eagles and Ottawa Capitals.

The Newark Eagles picked up a win at Capitals Stadium, topping the Ottawa Capitals, 4-3. On the mound for Newark was right-hander Tim Wharton. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 7.2 innings, Wharton surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jaylin Jenkins? The Newark shortstop had a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Eagles on top, 4-1. For the game, Jenkins had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
