Braves Take Nail-Biter Over Buffaloes

The Green Bay Braves beat the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 5-3 -- though it took them 14 innings. Green Bay first baseman Brent Gingrich had a pretty good game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The winner was Nick Green in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Santos Fernandez took the loss. The Buffaloes, 5-5, continue their so-so start to the 2012 season.
Green Bay got a clutch hit from Jake Collier. The center fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"The crowd was raucous," said Collier.
