Senators Topple Moose with Late Rally

The Albany Senators got a strong performance from pitcher Ryan Dowden, who stymied the Saskatoon offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Moose Grounds. Dowden picked up the win for Albany, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Saskatoon falls to 1-1.
It could have been a different outcome for Albany, had it not been for John King, the 29-year old catcher . King contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Albany up, 4-2.
Said losing manager Justin Fisher: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
