Alex Arias had an impressive outing at Empires Stadium, hurling the Mexico City Aztecas to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Southern California Empires.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Southern California skipper Jimmy Brown said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Arias yielded 4 hits and tallied 10 strikeouts with 3 walks.
