Sato Strokes 5 Hits
Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Battalion's Masahiko Sato at Houston Park. Sato put up a 5-for-7 line against the Houston Apollos, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 4-3 loss.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Sato said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose."

Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. Masahiko Sato hit a solo-shot off Bobby Plata in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Fedor Mayakovsky in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and flied out in the 12th.

In the current season, Sato has put up a .305 batting average with 18 hits, 3 home runs, 6 runs batted in and scored 12 runs.
