The Los Angeles Knights and Denver Cutthroats completed their game despite the rain.
Los Angeles Knights pitcher Andrew Schumacher was in fine form, leading his team past the Denver Cutthroats, 5-1. The Knights, now 14-11, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.
Los Angeles took a 4-1 lead on Bob Shiplack's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Shiplack hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Denver pitcher Jesse Steele visibly frustrated.
"That was a really good outing by Andrew," said Los Angeles manager Nigel Laverick.
