Moose Edge Senators, 3-2
|
The Saskatoon Moose put one in the win column with an opening day 3-2 triumph over the Albany Senators. The crowd at Moose Grounds watched Chris Alcaro put on a fine performance. The win belonged to Chris Kaplan in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Marco Lasso took the loss for Albany.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when catcher John Dick hit a triple. The Moose went on to win.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Saskatoon manager Justin Fisher.
