Queen Helps Blues Win, 7-5, with Pair of Homers
|
New York City designated hitter James Queen helped his team beat the Dallas Texans, 7-5. Queen, who finished 2nd in the PBC in RBI with 63 in 2008, went 2 for 3 for the Blues. With the victory, the Blues upped their record to 12-8.
It could have been a different outcome for New York City, had it not been for Josh Leavens, the 28-year old catcher . Leavens contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put New York City up, 7-5.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Blues manager Jay Bourne.
