The New York City Blues beat the Toronto Titans, 7-4, at Blues Field. New York City catcher Josh Leavens had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mel Palma earned the win. Francisco Chavez, who finished 4th in the PBC in wins with 10 in 2000, took the loss for Toronto. Harry Parker got the save, the 1st for him this season.

The Blues got a big at-bat from first baseman Damani Moreno. For the game, Moreno went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave New York City a 4-3 lead.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said New York City manager Jay Bourne.

The Titans, now 5-11 this season, have struggled to play .500 ball.
