Tampa Bay (R) Takes Cup Qualifier in Deciding Game Monday, October 10th , 2011 Tampa Bay (R) Thunder won a nail-biting series against the Las Vegas (R) Aces 4-3, wrapping up the Cup Qualifier finale 8-1 at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Thunder left fielder Este Puggioni was named the series MVP. He batted .310, drove in 4 runs and scored 5 to lead Tampa Bay (R) into the next round of play. "Este was real solid for us, real solid," said Thunder manager Tyler Gholston. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Tampa Bay (R) Thunder will play against the Detroit (R) Motors in the next round. Detroit (R) won their series against the Chicago (R) Blackhawks 4 games to 2.
