Adam Shepard Sidelined for Season Wednesday, September 28th , 2011 Earlier today, Denver (R) third baseman Adam Shepard had to leave the game against El Paso (R) because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a broken kneecap and will miss 5 months of play. Shepard was hurt being hit by a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. For the season, Shepard is hitting at a .248 clip with 9 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 31 runs. He has 84 hits, 39 walks and a .330 on-base percentage. |
