Diablos Cruz Huerta to Miss Year Thursday, September 15th , 2011 A blow for Cruz Huerta today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 7-8 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Huerta suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the El Paso (R) Diablos are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Huerta's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This season, Huerta has been credited with 1 save in 17 relief appearances. In 19.2 innings he has a 1-0 won-lost mark, 1.83 ERA and 27 strikeouts |
