McCombs Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Monday, August 22nd , 2011 Travis McCombs ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at PBC Rookie Development Complex, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Toronto (R) Titans dropped the game, 12-1, to the Detroit (R) Motors. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," McCombs said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Travis McCombs struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd and grounded out in the 6th. For the year, McCombs has hit at a .330 clip with 35 RBIs, 7 home runs and 47 runs scored. |
