Robinson's Strong Week Earns R Trophy Monday, August 22nd , 2011 The votes have been cast and counted and the winner of the PBC Rookie Complex League Player of the Week has been chosen. It was presented earlier today to Frank Robinson for his red-hot week of hitting. The Tampa Bay (R) second baseman took home the trophy by splurging with 12 hits in 24 at-bats for a .500 batting average, driving in 9 runs and scoring 9 times. This year, Robinson is hitting .329 with 8 home runs and 27 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .414 clip and scored 31 runs. |
