Twisters Win Division Championship Series Wednesday, October 5th , 2011 The fans in Tulsa are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Providence. The Tulsa Twisters finished off the Providence Grays 3-1 in the deciding game of the Division Championship Series played at Providence Field. They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Amateur Circuit Cup. For his standout play, Tulsa second baseman Ryan Boyle was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .857, drove in 2 runs and scored 0 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Boyle and that doomed us," said Grays manager Danny Ungo. "Hats off to Tulsa, though. That was a great series." The Tulsa Twisters will play against the St. Petersburg Pelicans in the next round. St. Petersburg had a bye in the Division Championship Series.
