Oilers Taylor Out Rest Of Season Wednesday, September 7th , 2011 The season is apparently over for Eric Taylor. The Oil City Oilers medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 10 months with a damaged elbow ligament. Taylor was hurt in the game against St. Petersburg while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season, Taylor has earned 0 saves, tossed 18 innings, made 5 relief appearances, fanned 25 hitters and posted an ERA of 4.00. Teams are hitting .177 against him. |
