Gnomes Eric Warrenfeltz Down and Out for Year Tuesday, August 23rd , 2011 The season is finished for Eric Warrenfeltz of the Yuma Gnomes. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Gnomes center fielder suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing the ball in a recent game against the El Paso Mavericks. Team doctors said it would take at least 6-7 months to heal. To date Warrenfeltz has chalked up a .257 average with 2 home runs, driven in 16 runs and scored 10 times. |
