Coyotes Murphy Dominates Bulls Thursday, July 14th , 2011 It wasn't easy but the Albuquerque Coyotes made it look that way. Starter Josh Murphy shut out the Dallas Bulls despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Albuquerque Coyotes cruised to victory, 8-0. Murphy allowed only 1 hit and rang up 10 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This season, Murphy has gone 3-1 with an ERA of 1.56, posting 42 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. View Boxscore |
