The outstanding Professional Baseball Circuit newcomer for 2011 has been selected and the trophy goes to Washington center fielder Dashawn MacDonald. He received the Rookie of the Year Award on the strength of his fine performance this season.

It was a season to remember for the 25-year-old Warriors rookie. He wrapped up his first year with a .316 batting average, 19 doubles, 2 triples and 4 home runs. MacDonald also had 26 RBIs and scored 35 times.

He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 18. Kevin Brown of the Atlanta Pilots finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Kevin Mooris of the San Francisco Peanuts finished third with 1 first place vote.
