Aces Heading to Cup Qualifier Wednesday, October 5th , 2011 It's a sweet sweep for the Las Vegas Aces and they have won the Play-in Series. The Houston Mavericks were not able to keep pace with the Aces and dropped the series in short order, losing, 10-7, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Houston manager Jason Tudor. It's now on to the Cup Qualifier for Las Vegas after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was catcher Jordan Will, who was named MVP. For the series, Will hit .455 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.
