Taylor Clobbers 3 HR Against Cutthroats Sunday, September 25th , 2011 Zack Taylor of the Diablos won the battle against Denver pitching, but lost the war. He hit three out of the park at Cutter's Cove, got his name in the league record book, but El Paso came up short in the win column, losing to the Cutthroats, 9-7. The El Paso designated hitter was red-hot, the ball just exploded off his bat all day long. "I don't try to hit homers," he said. "I try to go out there and have good at-bats. If I put a good swing on the ball, then it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one. I just try to have good at-bats." For the game, the six-time All-Star Taylor went 3 for 4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Where does he rank this day in his career? "It's up there," Taylor said. "I'll put it up there in the upper echelon, despite the loss." Zack Taylor flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Min-jun Jung in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Min-jun Jung in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Roberto Morales in the 8th.
